Chances are it may be he's coming down with something- relax & remember he'll know when he's hungry- that's when we knew when one of ours was catching something.. appetite change.. it could also be he's teething and his mouth is sore...
Try not to worry too much- he will go back to normal..

kids at this age will only eat or drink to match their apatites. If he has a cold he may have a reduced apatite for a while. Removing solids is NOT the answer. As long as he take fluids throughout the day and wets at least 8 times in 24 hours, he is fine.

Are you giving him formula or breastmilk in the bottle? They all go through different phases like this...he might even be beginning to teethe, which can affect their eating, sleeping, and disposition.Does he have a fever or any other physical symptoms? I would schedule a dr. visit to rule out any illness. When did you start giving him solids? 4 months is a bit early for that...did your pediatrician recommend you do that?Don't reduce his food--if he is comfortably eating solids, keep feeding him and give him water to make sure he is well hydrated.

keep giving him solids you want him to start eating more solids and less milk/formula...as well he may be getting teeth, this usually changesd their habits, but don't cut food out, let him have what he wants it is probably just a stage

Give him back his solids. He is drinking less because he is getting MORE nutrition from the solid foods. (sigh). the whiny and tiredness could be an ear infection, a cold, teething, etc.
