I don't think it stops, I think it is simply that you've washed yourself and no blood is coming out... It's not as if you lose gallons of blood each time you have a period (although sometimes it seems that way!!) - it's not a constant flow!

As to what the other girl said - at night - you're lying down so unless you have a heavy period, the blood will sit inside you and wait for gravity to do it's thing when you're out of bed!!

These are my thoughts anyway... I'm not a doctor!!

Douche, not to be used on a regular bases but it will work for about an hour, depending on how heavy you flow maybe longer, if your doing it for sex just wait until your period stops, belive me you will enjoy much better, when you don't have to worry bleeding everywhere, think of it this way when your on your period its your time for yourself, don't worry about anything else.

Yes, its normal. Its just the water getting in there and cleaning you out a bit.

Icky question okay! We are women we are allowed to talk about such things - it's the men who get upset!

This happens to me. I think the water flushes you out a bit!

its natural body functions i think,
plus i think naturally, your little flower only lets things out and not in- the muscles are naturally developed like this.

just like- if you go swimming your period is meant to stop. i personally dont know- but thats what my PE teacher used to shout at me and say when i said i was on my period and couldnt do the swimming lesson.

ask your doctor

but its just one of the many wonders of the female body!! we are amazing really! :)

Yes it is normal and it is also normal for it to stop at night while you are sleeping. I can tell you that it's normal, but I don't have an answer as to why. Sorry.

yes it's normal. Its because a bath relaxes your uterus and also because the water washes you out as you move around in the tub.
