Hmmm....I just KNOW this is a trick question!!!!

Errrrr..... I KNOW!

FOOD! Food is the MOST important prerequisite for a successful catering business!!!

Experience is worthless without FOOD to survive on long enough to GAIN that experience!
A Degree in Catering takes brains, and brains need FOOD to work!
Cooking Talent? Try serving Boiled Water Au Gratin as a main entree. People want FOOD!
Ever try training with make-believe FOOD? It looks even more silly than 'air guitar'.

Indeed, the only answer is E .... Food.

And don't feel bad for not including it in your list of possible answers, it's a common mistake most newbies make. Start with food and the rest will sort itself out.

:)

Cooking talent to me. Who wants a catering service that can not cook. The degree, experience or training does not matter if the person can not cook.

Experience. Anyone can cook. Anyone can get a degree. But, experience is what is most important in making a business a success.

Cooking talent, good sanitary food prep practices, excellent customer service, reliability, good word of mouth, competitive pricing and patience (especially if you're catering something like a wedding, where people are frazzled down to their last nerve). Good luck!
