When I go into the internet, I used to be able to type in a web address. There was always a place to do a web search through yahoo but I also had a place to type in an actual address. Now, when I go into the internet, there's no place for me to type in a web address, only a space for a web search which is not the same thing. Also, when I go to a website and want to copy the address, there's no address shown anymore. I used to see the web address displayed at the top. Now, it just says google tool bar and below is the yahoo web search area. Please help. How do I get back the section that I can enter a web address?

Go to the top of your screen where it says "File","Edit", etc. Click "View", then go to Toolbars, then click Address Bar. That should fix your problem.

right click an empty spot on the browser toolbar and make sure you have "address bar" checked. It also might be there but moved all the way over to the right. If so you need to uncheck the "lock toolbar" and then drag the address bar to the left.

Check the toolbar options on your browser. Sounds like the one that displays and lets you type in addresses is turned off.

All you do is right click on the tool bar and put a check mark on the address bar. That's it !

If you're using Mozilla Firefox, go to View>Toolbars and click on the "Navigation Toolbar". You should see it now. I think it's something similar in Internet Explorer.
