I stopped watching. I've grown tired of that TV show, it is time for it to be cancelled.

I remember one episode where two aliens kidnapped the democrat and republican presidential candidates, and disguised themselves in their places. The night before the election, Homer unmasked them, so everyone knew that both of them were aliens. One of the aliens says "Yeah, but what are you gonna do about it, it's a two party system." And sure enough, one of them got elected and enslaved America.
The Simpsons makes fun of just about everything cultural and political in America, including the occassional jab at their own audience. I'm sure that if they knew anything about Canada and made a Canadian version, they'd make fun of Canada. It's hardly propaganda.

Haven't seen it yet, as you must be three hours ahead.
I think, overall, the Simpsons are getting tired. 17 years is ancient by TV standards
