I am thinking about going to culinary school, but I don't want to have to move to Europe.

There are two famous culinary schools int he USA that train you to the highest level of culinary arts, and also give you a good educations. (They have Associates degrees and Bachelor of arts in Culinary, Food Science and Food Management...) That's the Culinary Institute of America, and Johnson & Wales university. You can easily find both of these schools on line.

CIA has been in business longer, but J&W is larger and has campuses in several cities - Charlotte, Denver, Miami and Providence. Both J&W and CIA graduate over 1000 chefs a year and are extremely well known and highly respected in the business.

The Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Arts Program is offered in 13 Locations throughout the United States. Career Services Assistance is available for all student and graduates. Financial Aid is available for those who qualify.

The best one is the PIttsurburg Culinary institute!!!! I have heard several great things about this school and have a close friend that has graduated and has a great job now!!!!

Culinary Institute of America - Poughkeepsie, NY, Totally Awesome.

I think, they have a branch in California too.
