How come, my aunt won't take me to a bar to drink? and would just buy some at the liquor store and drink it at home, remind you this, I am over 21.
Is she ashamed of me?
Is she afraid she'll run into someone she knows?
What is the main reason for not letting someone go with you to a bar, not to mention when her friends call to go out drinking she rushs over there, but when I ask, she ignores me, and says next week, which never happens.
What the heck is going on?

She is 47 by the way, and we are always close, she knew me since I was 3, and took care of me, but it just dosent make any sense why she would make lame excuses to not go out, yet mentions it, and just shares a beer with me at the house, where theres no people or anything.

You did not say how much older your Aunt is than you, nor did you say much about your relationship other than you are apparently at-home drinking buddies. Your Aunt may have drinking problems, but as to why she won't drink with you in public,you would have to ask her.

Your Aunt is a stage three alcoholic. Get her some help. If you want to go to a bar do so just watch yourself with your drinking,take it from a recovering alcoholic.....

probably cos its a little creepy taking her siblings kid to the bar...she probably can remember when you were a youngster and much like her bro/sis, she will always think of you as a kid...It wasnt like my aunts and uncles who I am close with were looking to make me a drinking buddy when I hit 21, does this make sense?

If you are over 21, what's keeping you from going yourself? How old is youe aunt? Maybe she thinks you will be baggage to her and cramp her style.

she just doesn't know how 2 handle u growing up.she is NOT ashamed of u.mabe she had a friend that died of drinking and driving.

Maybe she does things she doesn't want you to know about....drugs or sleeping around. Leave her alone and hang out with sober people your own age.
