In James Blunt's "You're Beautiful", the second stanza after the chorus has a line that says "She could see from my face that I was ___ing high". I searched the lyrics on the internet, and a majority of the people that did the lyrics say the blank is the f-word, but it sounds like "flying" to me. Which is it?

The original version Blunt wrote contained the f- word, but then when the song was going to be broadcast to the radio they had to bleep it out. Blunt didn't want them to bleep it out because it would taint his art, so he then decided to exchange the f- word for "flying". Thus the song you hear on the radio today.

it is the f word, I actually listened to the song over and over again I was confused like you, but it is the curse word. But it can work both ways, because it do sounds like flying, and the word actually fits in the sentence, it goes with the lyrics, and also note that regular people write lyrics to songs and post them on the internet so they are not all accurate-never trust the internet, get a valuable source like maybe his website etc.

I've always just heard flying high but it could be the F-word on the un-edited version.

i think of his plan has no longer something to do with she that smiles on an analogous time as nevertheless with yet another guy. Judging via the video, this boy needs out and is basically no longer deterred via the smile of she this is in places crowded.for this reason...I won't lose any sleep on that reason i've got have been given a plan, ability, concordantly that he is going to kill himself ergo he won't in any respect be along with her.
