Be sure your parents know where you are and what time you will be home before running this track in your neighborhood. Also, consider running with a friend. Not only is it safer, it will keep you motivated and you'll be less "embarassed" having your friend around for support.
If you are embarassed, thats the reason you should do this. Facing your fears and becomming independant are great ways to build your confidence.
You will find that people will not look at you as if you were strange, but they will look at you with admiration. Not only are you showing yourself to be dedicated and strong, but you are telling the world that you care about yourself and your health. How awsome is that!

U shouldn't feel embarrassed sweetie, if u continue to allow others make u feel that way then Ur gonna put on more weight and the u will really feel embarrassed. So stop feeling this way and go out there run, it's healthy and at least Ur doing something about Ur weight so that too is nothing to feel embarrassed over. Once u start this and keep it up until u reach the weight u want u will have others envy u and u will like the way that makes u feel because u did it without allow it to embarrass u

It's okay. I'm weird too. There's a lot of weird people all around us, so you'll fit in with everyone else on this Earth. Do you what you have to do and don't worry... us weird people stick together.

its not wierd to be a 7th grader and to care about getting into shape as long as your not running around like a wierdo noone will think you are one. So go run and get into shape bring a freind to run with you that way you dont feel so out of place. best wishes to you.

who will care if you are running around a track? just say you are practicing for the track team or something, and if you don't want to do that, run around your block or something.
