Could someone explain to me how to do this problem?

Find the equation of the median to side AC if A is (3,2), and C is (1,-1)

x = (3 + 1)/2 = 2
y = (2 - 1)/2 = 1/2

therefore the median is
(2, 0.5)

(3+1)/2=2
(2-1)/2=.5

(2, .5)
