Which holiday?
Now that Halloween is over, I am decorating for Thanksgiving. I love the fall colors, and pumpkins, and indian corn and all that. And when Thanksgiving is over, I start putting up the Christmas decorations. One holliday at a time!

There seems to be a tradition here in Maine of leaving your Christmas wreath on the front door until it falls off of its own accord sometime around Memorial Day. Personally I like to replace it with spring flowers, but it's hard to go against tradition....

No, but I want to since I work in a store and see all of the holiday items on a daily basis. I normally decorate the day after Thanksgiving or that weekend. I have, already, been going through my decor though to see what needs to be replaced, if I should buy anything new, and what I should donate.

In Australia we dont celebrate Thanksgiving, so not too sure of it's date. I really want to start putting my dec's up now, and my 3 year old son would love too as well. However I was always told as a child that it is bad luck to put them up before 1st December and not have them down before New Years. I dont know if I believe it or not, and think I might start soon anyway. That way I can see what I have and add if it needs adding too. Only have to convince hubby now I suppose.

I put my decorations up 12 days before Christmas day and take them down 12 days after Christmas day, I always have and I always will.
I finished my Christmas shopping a month ago, I did do 90% of it on line, I hate the busy shops and I wanted to get the kids stuff before they were hard to get.

i'm the lazy decorator. I do all of it final minute, and that's a pair of few weeks earlier Christmas. do no longer even question me how long it takes to take down trip decorations! it is approximately early adorning. i assume my left-over decorations could be seen very early adorning.

NO. I went into K-Mart the other day and they were playing Christmas music and the store full of Christmas decorations and it's not even near Thanksgiving! I will probably get sick of the music having to listen to it for eight weeks.
