There are some VERY legitimate reasons for having an abortion. Not everyone who gets one is just too stupid or lazy for birth control. Being raped is one great reason to have an abortion. I don't know that I would if I were in that position, but I FIRMLY believe that the option should be left open. I have a 2 yr. old, and If I found out I was pregnant, and that it was going to endanger my life, I would do it in a heartbeat! I have a beautiful, amazing son who needs me, I would do anything possible to make sure that I can be with him as long as possible. It is irresponsible parenting to put your self endanger when you have kids. Having an abortion in the early stages of pregnancy is really no different than male masturbation. Sperm cannot survive outside in the world, and neither can a fetus that early in it's development. I don't believe that we all have to agree, I just believe that there are some really good reasons to keep it legal. Unfortunately you have to take the good with the bad, I don't believe in abortion for birth control. But to me it's a small price to pay to make sure that I will never be forced to give birth to a rapist's baby, or have to leave my current child without a mother.

hi i am pregnant with my second child but i have have had an abortion in my younger years and with no regret, i am 34 and the knowledge i received in those extra years was so rewarding at this point of time when i can say i brought up my son on my own since i fell pregnant and it has just given me strength, and will be doing the same with this child, i found a good doner lol.but more to answer your question, it is better to have an abortion than to bring an unwanted child into a world that is cruel enough as it is, altho i think there should be more control of abortions for women who seem to forget to take that responsibility and continue to think that it is a easier option, there are alternatives. i was given some advise by a lady beside me when i had my termination dont have children till you know you can do it on your own regardless of whether you have a man or not you cant depend on help from your partner all the time and she was right.

Yes i believe in abortion for these reasons:

1.If someone was raped

2.If the mothers life was in danger and would die/suffer if she remained pregnant

3.If someone is just tto young or knows that they couldn't handle taking care of a baby

4.If there were something bad wrong with the baby and it would just live a terrible life and die a horrible death.

Until we have to walk a mile in their shoes then we would might know what it's like to have to choose.

Their would be so many less abortions taking place if people would just get on birth control or just don't have sex.

when you are two months the baby already has a heartbeat....when I was three months I got my very first ultrasound my baby had a heartbeat, a brain, and a liver... I think abortions are a an easy way out and yes I do think it is murder...

abortion is done only if there is no other choice. either if the foetus is growing abnormally or if the baby when born is immediately going to be abandoned or ejected, or harmed if brought into the world. the unborn is better off not born than to die a death every day in this cruel world. becoz bringing up a baby especially the first few years of birth is a BIG COMMITTMENT and every baby shud be given his/her due share of love, affection and security once he/she has set afoot in the world. I am from India and i see thousands and thousands of new borns in miserable pathetic conditions suffering on the streets without even milk to barely survive. One wud wish they died in the womb itself than to suffer a more horrible slow death called LIFE.

I neither condone or condemn abortion. Sometimes it is necessary. If a woman gets pregnant due to rape or incest, would you force her to endure the physical and emotional trauma of raising that baby? If a term pregnancy would endanger the life of the mother (such as an ectopic), would you prefer the mother to die when she could have been saved by having the operation? Who's being murdered then?

I think abortion is absolutely wrong! In my opinion it's out right murder and punishment for murder by law is prison or the death sentence so maybe women who have an abortion should be punished for taking a life.

there are only a few acceptations to get an abortion. one, if you have gotten pregnant through a family member(instest). two, if you have been raped. and for all of those who think its not killing, and you think that the living being inside of you can't feel anything, thats not true. so for all of those people out there who are for it, i leave you with one question...if its not alive, then we do we have to kill it?

Abortion is wrong...i don't care what people think...its murder...both in facts and in moral issues

Do you know that the majority of people in America think that abortion is wrong..and we (or they depending on who you are) still allow it? I hope that will change soon.
