Lola,
Yes it does... you are most definitely correct, so now that you have realised you are indeed sane what will you do?
I have found it a lonely place so I meditated and found life calling me.
life as it would have it takes no prisoners. I realised it was just as my grandfather had told me "it is the quick and the dead that survive!"
be the QUICK.

Which is more likely: that everyone on earth but you is insane or just that you are insane and therefore the world's sanity strikes you as insane...?
Good luck with it!
Sanity is pretty hard to prove anyway. It's easier to fake being insane than to appear actually sane if you really are. So just don't worry about it. As long as you're a functioning member of society (not babbling on a streetcorner talking to the sidewalk), you should be ok.

One cannot realise anything subjectively. To think everybody else is insane and therefore yourself sane cannot be objectively answered by anyone else because their viewpoint can just as easily say that it is YOU who are the insane one and everybody else..........But then again everything I say could be completely wrong !! I hope that sorts it out for you

There is a scene in a movie (I wish I can remember the title of this movie) where a sane guy is thrown in the loony house; inside everyone is walking mindlessly around and around the room in the same direction; he immediately decides to start walking in the other direction, creating at first some strange looks, but soon a great commotion when some try to make him change his direction, just before they start throwing punches at him one of the older guys takes him apart and say: "What's the matter with you, are you crazy, or what?"
When you see everyone going in the same direction, its time to change yours.
But of course you already now that.
Greetings.

Good question. If I realize YOU, instead of me, are insane, as everyone else, does it make me the sane one? I believe that what ever reality you live in exist only in your own mind. You are the creator of your life and everything in it.

whoa sweetie, you have alot on your plate. OK. lets start with the best friend. Life is hard. No one said it was going to be an easy road. When you cut, when you have triend to commit suicide 3x when you seek eternal silience to avoid the blessing (and curse) of life, you are essentially giving up. If I were you're best friend I would want you become stronger. I might be treating you the same way right now in hopes that you would develop and thick skin and get along with life the same as everyone else. Maybe she is or isn't going about it the right way, but that is what that is about. With Mom: Your mother is trying to keep from going insane herself. Its hard on a woman, when someone that you carried for nine months and gave life to starts to see herself as less than the beauty before her own eyes. She is trying to cope herself, and maybe she needs a counselor to deal with this herself. Even though Mom is telling all of your business, she doesn't want people to ask too many questions, get too worried and start prying about your mental health. She has to set up defense's for you and the family too, you may think its terrible of her to discuss you,, and dismiss your feelings of desperation as seeking attention, but what if she told them my daughter is a manic depressant and I'm sending her to a mental home? She doesnt want them to worry, she doesnt want you to worry and to control the situation she tells you, your simply being paranoid. My mother tells me the same thing... Your just paranoid, your being insecure and it irritates the heck outta me. Parents dont want to admit we get alot of things from them... a lot of the things they see us deal with they delt with themselves. As far as yourself: Hun, school should be getting out soon for you.(summer break)? Take a few weeks to yourself. Instead of thinking about cutting, visit a botanical garden, or just step outside. Watch how the bees carry pollen to other flowers to make them blossom. Watch the ants, and how they walk in a procession and how hard those tiny tiny ants work. Watch the birds flirt and fly against the wind. Watch how the wind moves between the trees and the grass, and how the sky is blue, and remeber that the sky is blue because of the reflection off the ocean. Watch the clouds move, the freshness in the air. Notice how beautiful life really, really is. Ask your mom for a pet. Start with a goldfish and move up to a puppy. Go to an animal shelter and volunteer to be around the animals and around life. Life is hard, like I said, but then again its what you make of it. Its more of a beautiful beautiful thing than it is a burden. Take a deep breath. Put on your big girl face, and face your household first. Ask your mother during a session with one of your counselors, if she could show you some respect by not telling people that you are just looking for attention. Ask the counselore to help her understand how it makes you feel. Work on stabilizing that relationship. With food, eat 3 balanced meals a day.Food gives you energy and keeps you from being depressed. After this is tackled, face your friend. Smile more often and control your moodiness. Try to talk about 1 positive thing a day that DOES NOT concern you. Something in the news, or local news release. You'kll be find, your sweet and you just need some direction.

people who are insane don't usually realize that they are insane. do you think that your recognition that you are makes you not? cognative discrnement is not a measure of sanity. if you are the only sane person then I submit that the rest of us don't actually exist, we are merely a figment of your imagination and that you are actually the insane one.

There is no such thing as sane within the bounds of non-violence.
Who make these silly rules anyway?

Sanity is a social norm. Alone we are both the sanest and the craziest. In a group we acquiesce to the group standard.
