Personally I never liked sleeping on my stomach... and in pregnancy you will find many things are not what they used to be. Here is a link to sleeping postions from the American Pregnancy Association,

I am sure some women do but I personally stopped sleeping on my stomach once I found out I was pregnant. I knew that sleeping on my side was the best for the baby so I sleep with a pillow on either side of me that way I can't sleep on my back or stomach just my side. I would ask your doctor what his opinion is.

I'm 17 weeks pregnant and I sleep on my belly. I was told that the big problem with sleeping on your belly when pregnant is when the belly gets too big to sleep on. My belly is just starting to show, and I think I'm going to have to switch to my side soon. Right now I'm sleeping with my two arms under me so I'm not laying on my belly (it feels wierd, like there is a balloon in there.) I wouldn't worry about it right now. You'll have to switch soon enough (I love sleeping on my belly...I don't know how I'm going to sleep soundly.)

I am also 13 weeks pregnant and I sleep on my stomach. I usually switch to my back after I have been asleep for a while, but it seems easier for me to fall asleep on my stomach and switch to my side than to fall asleep on my side. i'm sure once it becomes uncomfortable that I will not do it anymore.

Good luck..we have 27 weeks to go!!

No it is not...you could be compromising the circulation to your baby and you can also risk breaching the baby's position....safer positions are either sideline with a pillow between your knees or on your back with a pillow under your knees in the first trimester....in the second and third trimesters....you want to go sideline on left.....good luck to you!

You are supposed to lay on your left side so the oxygen can get to your baby.
