I would like to get any of my Macs (a PowerBook G4 or Mac mini) to hook up to my Philips 30PW8402/37B HDTV, but there doesn't seem to be any success reports online. Apparently, you can use DisplayConfigX software to make your Mac output video from its DVI port appropriate for your TV, but I can't seem to get the settings right... i.e. the resolution seems very fuzzy, and I can't read text smaller than 48-60 points... also, tops or sides of the screen are cropped.
I am using a DVI-to-HDMI cable between the Mac and the TV (i.e. DVI-out on the Mac to HDMI-in on the TV).
Has anyone been able to make this TV work as a display for the Mac? If so, can you share your settings/configuration?
