What type of crime. Was he violent toward people - if yes, get out. Did he steal, can you trust him? Don't be stupid.

That's a pretty vague question. What kind of criminal history? How long ago? I believe that people can change. For instance, people who were heavily into drugs and committed many crimes to support their habit can find help and completely change their lives. Now if he just got out of jail a week, month, few months ago and is one of those types that just goes on leading the same life, don't go there. If he's well (I heavily stress the well) on his way to being a productive, moral member of society, give him a chance.

Boils down to "what was this guy in the tank for" ? Child abuse (sexual or physical assault), woman beating, rape ... or any crime against the female sex. This IS a very accurate indicator of how he will treat you in a relationship. Also, consider drug addiction - will he go back ? If he is living the straight life, working at a regular job or going to school, (barring the above crimes), then, consider cutting him some slack. Make it clear to him that THIS is his only CHANCE from you. Good luck to ya !!!

It depends on what he did and if i truly believe that he has changed his life around. If he has changed then i think i would be okay but he is doing the same ol same ole then I can't be with you boo.

That depends wat criminal is he ? If its to do with rape or abuse of woman or a child abuser then i wouldnt have a bar of him. Is the criminal history of the same nature if so he could do it again.
