Lost just started a month ago, and next week is already the 'Fall' Season Finale. When did the stations start this crap? Do we have to wait another couple of months to see more? I'm mad

I know!!!! I just found out last night that we have to wait til Feb. to see new episodes. I can't stand that. I wish they would just play new episodes straight through the year instead of making us wait for 3 months. And what the heck is that black smoke and why did it kill Eko? When they named the show "lost" they named it correctly because I stay Lost when it comes to that show!!!!

First of all, no, not all stations are doing this. But LOST is doing this to lure their audience. They hope that this will boost ratings when the May sweeps come around at the end of the season. Don't worry, LOST will return in February 2007 with all new episodes airring every week until the season finale in May. I kinda prefer it this way, because I get disappointed when there are repeats, but at least this way, I can sort of take a break for 2-3 months during the hour of LOST and do something else. I have read that people/critics are skeptical of this method, if it will work and they have said that this is a risky move. LOST does promise to go out w/a bang next week to keep its audience wondering A LOT and to ensure that they will return in February. ABC will heavily advertise the return of the show about a month before the show starts up to remind the audience to come back.

They are doing the season like E.R. Both shows had problems with ratings because people didn't know when a new episode was going to be on next. It would be on for 2 weeks, then a repeat, then a new episode and the following week would be a repeat.

They decided to do 2 parts to the season. Both shows have the 1st part of the season ending before the holidays, with repeats shown during the holidays, and then a new season starts end of Jan or so. LOST is, fo some reason, ending VERY early.

In E.W. magazine, they said a HUUUUGE episode is set to air in Feb.

lost has been crammed with plot, subject concerns, foreshadowing, symbolism...each little thing. The writing has somewhat peaked as they're tying issues mutually. some issues would seem a splash extra predictable because of the fact those aspects are shooting up lots, in spite of the undeniable fact that it does not make what's occurring much less thrilling. i think of the AU scenes would be very substantial to the subject of the best season. I doubt they dedicate 0.5 of the exhibit screen time to those flashes and that they no longer recommend something. If lost is initiating to disillusioned you this final season, my bets are you will no longer basically like the ending. it is going to be very deep and thought scary. i'm very almost particular i'm going to like it or locate a thank you to like it. i can't wait.

Here's the deal. Last year they tried to stretch all 23 episodes out over the year from September to May. People were complaining about the reruns shown inbetween the new episodes so they decided to show six episodes in the fall. Take a break. Then in Febuary, show the remaining episodes without any breaks inbetween.

I agree....it just sucks big time that they're doing this. They want to use Lost's time period to promote some other show so I hope it bombs big time so that they'll put Lost back on. I wonder if this will hurt the show's fan base. Will they be willing to wait until next year for the new shows?

LOST will continue in February and run through the end of May. They'll play six episodes in the fall and seventeen in the spring.

I can't stand it. My husband is deployed but still in the U.S. and that's are standing Wednesday night - he calls me and we watch the show together on the phone - discuss different points during commercials, what we think is going on, etc. It is the one show that we NEVER, EVER miss. I rarely get involved in a TV show (not since X-Files first debuted) but this one is definitely special.
