A lot of baptists that I know seem gay and Haggard was, obviously, too. So, was Haggard a baptist or just gay? Or both?

I don't know, but either way, the fact that Pastor Haggard is gay makes the Baptist Church no more a congregation of homosexuals than the fact that there's some perverts in the Catholic Church makes it a church of pedophiles. Your implication is incorrect.
As for Haggard, he's obviously a Christian gone astray. I wouldn't question his religious beliefs because he did something terribly sinful and contrary to the beliefs he professes, nor would I presumptuously use him as a representative of the Church as a whole.
