how strange, America is always complaining about human rights and child abuse etc, when the whites were in control of Rhodesia and South Africa these two countries did not have children working in mines 20 hours a day or in some sweat shops, but Britain and the U,S, couldn't bear to see a prosperous country that had a great economy and food and the necessity's needed for a stable and good life so the demanded the two countries turn over power to known Communist Robert McGavey, Nelson Mandella, both criminals, now they have child labor and sweat shops and they are as happy as a pig in sh,, so don't even mention child abuse or sweat shops our gov, is the real culprit, B,T,W, did you know America has a contract with the Rhodesia,& South African gov, to buy 20%of all of the diamonds they produce?? these are industrial diamonds, what the U,S, don't use we give to Israel free, Israel has been caught selling those diamonds back to South Africa who turned around and sold the same diamonds back to America, but, then our gov, is noted for choosing the best of freinds,

First, not all diamonds are "conflict diamonds"!
I recently saw a documentary on this subject. Many countries including the USA have banned the possession and sale of the diamonds coming from that area.
Oh and Saddam is getting ready to pay with his life for his crimes. Thanks to George Bush, US and all other allied forces.
If you want someone to blame for the terrorism and slavery that surrounded diamonds in that area, you might want to start with those who buy diamonds!

our economy does not run on diamonds.
our economy does not suffer if thousands of children work 20 hours a day in mines.
our economy does not suffer if there are sweatshops.
our economy does not suffer if there is slavery.
our economy suffers when we don't have oil.
