Nonstop would be about 10 or 11 hours. I flew last December from there with a stopover in London. I think my total time with layover was about 14 hours.

You have to go to LAX. From LAX to Dublin (direct via Aer Lingus) you leave LA at 5pm and arrive in Dublin at 11am. Usually, that flight gets in later, like 1130-12pm. It's about 10 1/2 going to Ireland and 11 1/2 coming back to LAX. You leave Dublin at 1150 and arrive back the same day at 3pm (time difference is +8 hours from LA to Dublin)

It would be about 10 hours but I am not sure that there is a direct flight which would make the trip considerably longer stopping in London etc is a nightmare
