Hey there.

I've got a HP dv2125nr notebook with a crappy Geforce Go 6150 video card. The laptop has very good specifications but the video card is below par!

Is there a way that I can upgrade the video card (on this laptop) and replace it with a better one? Or, is there any firewire external video cards that will support ATI/Nvidia cards? I'm at this point desperate! I will fork out any amount of money so that I can get this to play games well!

Very, very bad answer from that last guy, very bad. That is an integrated card that was not meant for gaming. Anyway, there is really nothing you can do, laptops are not easily upgradeable like desktops. This laptop was not designed for gaming, and there is really nothing you can do to change that. Sorry.

No, you bought a laptop so now you're screwed. Laptops suck for many reasons, but the main one is that most of the components can't be upgraded, and the gfx card is one of these. There's also no such thing as an 'external gfx card'. They just don't exists because they need to be connected directly to the motherboard due to the speed of the data that goes through them, Firewire or USB wouldn't come anywhere near to doing the job fast enough.

Next time, spend your money more wisely on a decent desktop machine. Then, when it needs upgrading, you can actually do it rather than having to throw the whole thing away and buy a new one as you're going to have to do here.

Nope. The video card is built into the motherboard. And there are no external video cards.

Unfortunately, that is not possible. The only internal part of the laptop which can be upgraded is the RAM.
