My husband and I are ttc. We have been trying for two months now and I was wondering does the energy drink, Red Bull, effect mens fertility?My husband drinks 2-3 a day and he also smokes cigarettes. He is trying to quit the cigarettes, he has made several attempts to do so in the two years we have been together. If anyone knows anything about the effects of Red Bull on men, please let me know. Thank you.

Engergy drinks have little or no affect. My husband drinks 2 of the 3 serving cans of Diet Rock star almost daily and I have been pregnant 5 times...and he also smokes.

Red Bull will not affect a man's fertility, but smoking definitely does affect it. There have been studies done indicating that men who smoke are at risk of decreased fertility since smoking does affect the sperm production.

Caffeine and smoking both affect male (and female) fertility and should be avoided when trying to conceive. Tell him to lay off both.
