Well.. first of all diamonds are expensive. So if anyone spends money on a women & buys her diamonds, they'll last forever.. sometimes longer than the relationship. Secondly, diamonds can cut glass.. so for those ladies who are cat burglers have it made without having to drag along a glass cutter. For the most part & more seriously Diamonds are a girls' best friend is one of the longest running catch phrases thanks to Marilyn Monroe. I don't know the statistics, but that little phrase has made diamonds one hot comodity.

DeBeers has an excellent marketing department. They have solidly put the concept that a diamond is love.
It's just a rock.

there are not but its always nice to have someone show that they love you in a special kind fo way.men who think that because they know if they buy diamonds then the girl is obviously gonna think that they love her.
