My PC's fan makes weird and loud noises. I've asked my manager for a new computer but never got one. It bothered me a lot at first, but then hey, pick your battles right?

I would recommend the Bose Quiet Comfort 2 headphones. They have noise canceling capabilities, meaning they emit sound in exactly the opposite wave form from the irritating sound, effectively canceling it out in what you hear. Bose has a Quiet Comfort 3 headphones, too, but they don't seem to get the rave reviews the QC2 'phones get.

Ask management to turn it down or off. If they refuse, get ear plugs or those special headphones you see advertised on TV.
As a final option, find another job.
