It would have to be the gopher tortoise!! Yes to the naked eye it is not the prettiest animal. I think it's life is beautiful. When I lived in Florida, I would go out every day on my nature walks. There were several gopher tortoises that lived near me in their holes. I would sit and watch them for hours. They seem to know what animal is a threat and which weren't. Me for example. I walked straight up to each one of them with a flower in hand, and they proceeded to eat it without a sign of fear. Yet I had never met them before. They are very docile and curiouse creatures, with kind of a cute face. They share their home with rattle snakes and all kinds of creatures that we would consider very "mean" or dangerous!! Yet the gopher tortoise is the most docile creature I have ever encountered. Their only reason in life is to live, and enjoy wonderful tasty and beautiful flowers and worship a bright sunny day! After a few years I even got know when the "gophers" would be in a certain spot and I would watch them and bring them a flower from nearby once in awhile. I even had the very very rare pleasure of seing the wild baby gopher tortoise witness sunshine for the first time!! By far, My most favorite animal in the wild!!!

Well, I think all animals are equally beautiful and it is really hard to pick just one... feline, canines, birds etc etc.. they are all beautiful!! I guess I will narrow it down to one of the most beautiful animals I have ever seen.....The Common Loon is not only a gorgeous bird, it also has a captivating voice that really does embody the spirit of the Canadian wilderness. When you hear Loons calling across a lake at dusk, it almost makes your heart ache it sounds so lonely and beautiful.... when you finally see the bird it seems only fitting that it's appearance would match the beauty of their call. Glossy black feathers with white spots and lines all over like beaded jewellry, iridescent green and blue neck with stunning ruby-red eyes and ebony dagger-shaped bill. They are also a pleasure to watch because of thier acrobatic diving and hunting abilities, its amazing how long they can hold thier breath and how far they can travel underwater before surfacing. At times you can also see them with thier babies riding on thier back while they swim around the lake teaching thier young to dive and swim. http://www.schollphoto.com/SchollPhoto2/images/Loons/pages/Loon03.htm
They also perform an incredible display in the water, beating thier wings and splashing about... http://www.college.emory.edu/culpeper/GOUZOULES/site/images/birds/bpics/loon2.jpg

I would have to say the Cecropia Moth.
Ever since I was a kid I was fascinated by their beauty. I remember I was only nine and my father brought back the ctaerpillar of one of these moths from a day of golf. I fed it and raised it until it went into pupation. I left it in the garage over winter and I would check on it everyday in the spring, eventually it emerged from its coccoon, and it was striking

Wolves.. They mate for life which I find interestingly sweet.
Tigers

I like the variation in furs (for both of them). They're both deadly animals, but still amazing.

Seals because they are really cute. They have big, black eyes and cute puppy dog faces, and whiskers. Big, flabby bodies like giant cuddly worms.
