I am a pacifist (in the sense that I'm not a violent, war-mongering, aggressive person that looks for fights. I am kind & caring to my fellow creatures on the earth) & yet I answer a. violence is sometimes justified. It is justified in the case of self-defense. Hell, yes. I would never hurt an innocent person. I could never be deliberately cruel to anyone. If however, someone strikes out violently against me, or someone I care about, I will strike back. That's my instinct to protect myself & those I love. That's survival. I'm not mean but I'm vengeful. "Turn the other cheek" doesn't quite cut it for me. If that makes me a bad Christian then so be it. I guess I subscribe more to the old testament "an eye for an eye." I think the punishment should fit the crime. For instance I don't think pedophiles should just do jail time. I don't think that's enough for the cruelty they inflict on innocent children. I think they should be tortured, castrated. Same for rapists, sadistic murderers etc. If a man hurt someone I loved, I would kill him myself, or die trying. That's me. The evil have to be punished. Yes I know they'll go to Hell but I don't have the patience. I'd want to see them suffer now.

violence is sometimes justified under certain circumstances as mentioned above..
however, it's a solution of the worst kind..as violence will just lead to more violence, anger and pain... sometimes, it's does not solve any problem at all. So violence should always be one of the last resort even if it's justifiable....
(also, i do agree that sometimes you really need to kick the *** out of some people because they really do deserve it! )

I think that violence is sometimes justified. If you are being attacked by someone for no apparent reason, and you need to defend yourself..then that is justified. I don't think that deliberatly hurting someone or something is justified. Obviously. Violent people need to be wiped of the planet..it would make the world safer and less scary at times!

The bible says, "the wrath of man doesn't accomplish the righteousness of God."
