We are in Arizona and have wild mushrooms growing in our yard. We need to protect our animals. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Mushrooms generally come from wood that is old or rotting. If you have recently put in mulch it could be from that or wood like post that are old and never been removed. Pull them out with protevtive gloves. i think there is spray but not sure. call your local Agriculture Farm Advisor...

Dogs dont eat mushrooms but wild hogs will. I would just use gloves and remove them manually when they come up. I really dont think you will encounter a problem. Best of luck.....

It is very possible that it was poisonous. A relative of mine lost her dog to a poisonous mushroom. See a vet immediately.

I have mushrooms/toadstools come up in my garden and pot plants. I think they have grown from the mulch we added. My dog actually eats it, and I was worried he might get sick, but it doesn't seem to affect him. You could go around and collect them all and dispose of them.
