Not sure what you class as "oldies".
As far back as Sinatra, Louis Armstrong or Judy Garland?
My daughter classes The Doors and even Bruce Springsteen as oldies.
My favoiurite artist oldies would include:
Beatles, Elvis, Harry Nilsson, The Doors, Eric Burden and the Animals, Neil Young, Simon & Garfunkel, Queen, The Byrds, Peter Frampton, Elton John, Mamas & the Papas, Jefferson Airplane, The Moody Blues, Cream, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Steppenwolf, Bread, Electric Light Orchestra, Neil Diamond, Neil Young, The Bee Gees, Barry White, Bob Seger, Bob Dylan, Rod Stewart, Kris Kristofferson, Boz Scaggs, Joe Cocker, Willie Nelson and even Barbra Streisand.
That should give you a good few artists to check out.

Moon Goddess, I can only suggest that you choose the artists you might like and have a look at their "Best Of" compilations.

I would check out the soundtrack section. Good Morning Vietnam, My Girl, The Big Chill, Forrest Gump, Stand By Me... Then go into the songs and artists from them...
