This show I'm not sure what station it was on but we watched it every week. It was about a creature from the deep and some kids had one of the babies and called him Nim. On the final episode, they were in a church steeple as the city was being flooded and the creature were there.

I believe you mean "Surface" because could not find no TV show called.
"The Deep"
I looked up surface and it ended the way kind of how you say a tsunami The deep ends.
But since the deep is Surface you just got the name wrong and I have seen some of these and they were right too cancel it it sucked.

That was the end of the series. I watched it, too and thought it was a pretty good show. They could at least do a movie or something, showing what happens to all the surviving people.
