Will after dinner mints do the trick, or is there a better alternative? I've tried putting parsley sauce on his breaded carrion, but to no avail.

I suggest an alternative meathod of tackling the "problem"
a wise man once said "a komodo dragon is a foul mouth but an articulate komodo is a breath of fresh air"
there fore i reccomend you buy him some of the literature classics along with the latest edition of the encyclopedia you can lay your hand on...
thus armed with a well informed intellect his position at the Soirees will pinnacle and soon he will become a welcome guest and a "breath of fresh air".

if you must try mint or other mouth freshners try the sugar free versions.. they are gentle on teeth and will avoid /delay the onset of tooth decay.

have you tried aniseed?

better still Bitter Chocolate for those happy harmones and effective oral odor control

all the best with the Dragon.. im guessing the name has been with held to protect the individual's identity.

cheers!!
:)

This is because he is not breathing enough fire.

In the wild, dragons lose their bad breath naturally because the flames burn it off. You should light a touch wire leading to his mouth and then retire rapidly. Do not worry about your pet, a little fire never hurt a dragion and he will feel a lot better afterwards

I had the same problem with my pet Komodo Dragon. I tried everything, spent hundreds of dollars bathing her in Listerine, half-choking her with baking soda. But, I finally took her (Sweetie Pie - Destroyer of Worlds) to a pet psychic who said that she had had a bad experience with the corpse of a dead goat when she was but a wee lizard on the Galapagos. She never could get the taste out of her mouth. But, after $426,879.37 worth of therapy sessions, she no longer obsesses about it. But, she still doesn't eat dead goat.

Try crushing up an altoid mint and putting it down the throat of the next mouse you give him to swallow whole. If he's outgrown mice already, put it down the throat of a suckling pig or the like; he should be minty fresh before you know it.

Get him to carry round a box of tic-tacs, it's a nice little container so his little clawed hands (if they are hands - or perhaps they're paws?!) ought to be able to manage to carry them about. If not make him a man-bag to carry over his shoulder and the tic tacs can fit nicely inside, he may even manage to fit his mobile phone in if he gets lucky with the ladies what with his new found freshness and all! Wish the little fella luck from me! :o)

You are both being pretentious - just stay in social circles where bad breath, and an abundance of drool are regarded as a good thing.

Oral hygiene doesn't mean covering up.
Chewing on a hedgehog after meals is perfectly acceptable etiquette in polite society.
Everyone is doing it these days, did you think John Prescott relied on toothpicks? How common!

Although unpleasant this is natural

Try ProFresh ,It attacks bad breath at it's source - your tongue! That's right, scientific studies have shown that bad breath is caused by bacteria that accumulate on the back of your tongue.

I would suggest taking him to a self-help class to rid him of his self conciousness and then he will learn to be proud of his smelly breath and, if anything, unvail it to all that he meets upon his travels. That's what i did for my nessie and he turned out to be a fine young monster . . . i think he currently abodes somewhere in Scotland. (he got a little big for my paddling pool.)
