My wife and I have been married for almost a year, been together for 2 years. The problem is lately she is getting really annoying. I have had a hobby for awhile now, for as long as she has known me, but now she wants me to stop. I collect Jar Jar Binks collectables, and pretty much everything else to do with Jar Jar (I think he's so funny). All I ask is for her not to interfere. And a few times a week I like to wear my Jar Jar costume and walk around time bringing joy to others. I do things like dance for people, I help angry commuters calm down by dancing in front of cars that are stopped ay lights. I go into stores and make funny noises and throw potato chip bags around. Its light hearted fun. My wife says I'm acting like an idiot, and I should get a job. She flips out whenever I buy an expensive Jar Jar collectable. And she acted like an insane woman when I suggested we use the jar jar costume in our lovemaking. I'm glad she works so many hours a day. Should I divorce her?

If you divorce her over jarjar..You need to marry jarjar then..Maybe your wife has a good point...Your taking a little to far wanting to both dress up and have sex with the costumes on...WHAT!!!! Come on now...really how can that turn someone on,,,, BE 4 REAL....There's nothing wrong with collecting them or whatever, But you are taking a lil to far..maybe she needs to divorce you..Being that your so obssessed with a fictional creature that YOU WILL NEVER BE OR MEET!!!

OK man you may not like this answer. But remember you two married for a reason. Divorce should never be an option. Hobbies are good, when they don't interfere with your family. Maybe you should talk to her before you buy something exspensive, or buy her stuff too. As far as the costume in your love making that shoudl be entirely up to her. You should be willing to do anything for her, that's what love is. Doing/giving everything you possibly can and expecting nothing in return. Sit her down and have a talk with her about your hobby. Tell her what you feel and listen to what she feels. Then make the decision to meet some where in the middle. But don't divorce her over the hobby, give up the hobby instead.

This does sound idiotic. It's nice to have a hobby, but you also need a job to pay for it all. Do you spend more time as Jar Jar than with your wife? If so, you need to think hard and long about your priorities. Who do you love more, the euphoria that you get as Jar Jar or your wife?

I believe that everyone has the right to do whatever brings joy and hapiness to him/her. Our companion is there to accept us as we are and not try to change us and make us miserable. Compromises should be done from both sides within a couple, but when you are asked to change your character, it's not worth it. Your personal hapiness is more valuable from this woman, who doesn't understand you, which means she doesn't love you enough to accept you the way you are and share with you what makes you happy. Let her go. You'll find a better one!!!

I am glad that you enjoy helping the stress levels and anger management of people, but I have to agree with your wife. Maybe it is time you get a job and pitch in to your expensive hobby.

I'm sure you wore the costume when you got married, so it's not your fault if she didn't know what she was getting into. Divorce her and find a new wife at the next Star Wars convention.

damn, but women can be SO unreasonable sometimes. a guy just wants to have a little fun and they become power crazy. of course you should divorce her and then seek out some other lady in the ward.
