I want to lay concrete pavement in my backyard. But with fall here the temps right now range from 30's to 40's at the lowest overnight. WIll colder temps simply mean waiting longer for it to cure? How long would it take? Or should I call it off and do the paving in the squelching heat of June/July?

As long as the night temps dont get below freezing, spring and fall are better for concrete work. And it will cure just as fast now as summer without worrying about it curing too fast because of excess heat in summertime.

laying concete is a sumerr project, or early fall project if you have extremely warm days hons, the concrte wont harden fast enough right now with extreme cold tempeatures and is a nightmare trying too get it too spread in really cold damp weather. the summer months are the best for this on hot sticky days hons, if you tried it now it would take a long time too harden hons. call it of until the summer months dont waste your money right now another thing in warmer weather its easier too smmoth out the concrete job in the heat too aviodd cracks and chips in its surface.

The longer you let it cure the stronger it will be. Fall or spring is best. After it takes a set strong enough to walk on wet it down a couple times a day to slow the cure.
