Just hang out with them... he doesn't have to dance to have fun.

#1 .. if you drink...... GET DRUNK lol if not... try to relax a little.
#2 .. wait to try to dance until the bar is packed on the dance floor..
usually if it is packed..you won't have any room to show people you don't know how to dance... AND you probably won't be able to dance .... just jump on beat! lol lol
#3 .. smile and laugh a lot.. ( *** people will think you are joking around and dancing badly on purpose! :) ) {{{i am full of good ideas :-D }}}}}} lol
#4 .. B4 you go turn on mtv or some music channel and watch the videos and try some moves out before you go.. or work on your rhythm.. (ps.. make sure it is mtv and not pbs.. LOL like on can't buy me love! ;) lol )
MOST of all.. Just have fun and don't sweat it! tell your new friends you aren't comfy dancing and to help you out a little!!!

well if you can't dance then you should probably learn how, if you don't want to then you can always step from side to side moving your head and snaping your fingers:P. If you're going to go to a dance bar thats usually what you do, so u might want to think of going to a different kind of bar.

dont dance!
learn how first,have your friends who are really good teach you.
In the bar as well as in world , the ones who arent looking for attention seem to get the most.
know idea why this is.
but people love opening doors that are closed.
so sit at the bar and let the conversation come to you.
