Drink a lot of water before going to bed and when you wake up. Hangovers are a form of dehydration, all that drinking of alcohol dries out your system so you need water to rehydrate.
Panadol for headaches. Good sleep and eat before drinking all help too.

Reality Jack is right. There was a show on Australian TV a while ago called What's Good For You, and they showed that drinking one glass of water after every alcoholic drink you have and taking two tablets (400mg, NOT 800mg as someone else suggested) of Ibuprofen before bed will drastically reduce or eliminate a hangover the next day. The ibuprofen before bed stops your brain from swelling overnight because it is an anti-inflammatory. Brain swelling is what causes you to have that headachey fuzzy feeling the next day. Perhaps if you have an important meeting or appointment the best cure would be to not drink the night before? Just an idea...

If you already have a hangover; then I would suggest like the others and have a good meal, a good amount of plain water. Sleep and lots of rest. If you're stomach seems "bubbly" you could try something like an antiacid to relieve that. There is the product called "chaser" on the market that you take before drinking to reduce the hangover effects. Don't know if it would work after you have one; might be worth a try.

A hangover results from Central nervous system irritability and dehydration. Alot of fluid before you go to bed will help....a bloody Mary the next day is great, but not if you have to work

If you are just an ordinary Joe, the best fix is a bottle of water and 800 mg of Ibuprofen before going to bed and repeat as soon as you wake up. If you are lucky enought to have access to an IV, 2 liters of fluid IV is the ultimate cure!!!
