Hi there as a nail tech I can tell you that with any nail extensions you should not experience pain or discomfort. If so your nail technician is using bad practice. If you have cuts and nicks around your nails after a treatment then you need to ensure that you properly cleanse your hands to prevent infection. As once infection sets in its often difficult to notice as you have extensions and by the time you have them removed its too late there will be permanent damage to the nail and/or nail bed.
Always best to go on recommendation when choosing a nail technician or beauty salon. if you can get an appointment quickly its not really a good sign. Always choose a salon that you have difficulty getting an appointment with as it goes some way in proving how well established and busy they are.
Also you should check for certificates on display for the different treatments being carried out. These courses are regulated by BABTAC in most instances so is always a good sign.
Good luck for next time. Dont let this experience put you off.
Best wishes

No, it should never, ever hurt! If the nail tech slips or something, that's different. People make mistakes. But if you are having this problem every time you go, then something is wrong. You need to find a new nail tech.
I once was getting my nails done at a new place, and the lady next to me was having her acrylics removed. The tech pushed a plastic nail tip underneath a spot that had lifted and PRIED the acrylic off her nail plate! I never went back there again.

No that is not normal. You should probably not get extentions on your nails for a while. Make sure your nails are not infected since you said you had nics and cuts. Check to see how they clean the equipment they used on your nails. Don't go back there ever again.

faulty nail extensions can result in infections, scarring and nails falling off!

you should not ever have cuts and knicks on your fingers. Don't ever go back there again. You need to watch out for infection and nail fungus if you have been cut. Please go somewhere else from now on.

I would say find a better manicurist. The one you have is way too rough on your hands.
