Don't expect anything to fantastic. While I would say this is a nice system for a laptop, laptops are not meant for gaming, so you have to really spend the big money to get one to play games well. You can most likely play games that are 2-3 years old fairly well, but anything newer expect to have problems unless you turn the settings down to the very lowest, and even then you only get average performance.

Acer Aspire TimelineX AS4830TG-6450 14-Inch Aluminum Laptop.Battery life. The 8-9 hour figure is not an exaggeration. This is by far one of the nicest features. I go out all day without bothering to bring my power cord along. It's about 6PM as I write this. The webcam resolution is surprisingly good, and there's a little programmable button on the keyboard that you can use for whatever you like.

Depends on what kind of games you want to play. For example, my tablet has a dual core processor at 2.16 ghz, and it can barely play Quake 4. But for other games like Guild Wars and the Battlefield series, it is more than enough, course it has a gig of ram. But then, it doesnt have an exciting graphics card either. But I would have to say get a faster processor if you can afford it because processors that run that slow, even the dual cores, will be made obsolete by Windows Vista in January. But, I'd say get a faster processor because many games wont even run on anything slower than 1.83 ghz. For example, Battle for Middle Earth (RTS game) doesnt run on anything slower than 1.83 ghz. And I would expect that games like Portal, Quake 4, Doom 3, all have higher expectations than that. So, get a faster processor if possible. Other than that... I dont see anythng wrong with your comp. Hope you have fun with your laptop dude! I know I am!

Tablets and Laptops RULE!!
Good luck!

If I may, I would like to suggest to you another brand. I have sold a lot of Acer Notebooks and the complaints are endless. From very slow response to component problem. This company is a clone PC trying hard to play in the branded marketplace. Go for Dell, Toshiba, Sony Viao or HP.
