When approaching any question that gives you a percentage and asks how much of one "thing" and asks you how much of that "thing" is in another "thing", you should always first think to convert the percentage into a decimal value by dividing the percentage value by 100. To find the answer in this case, you will take that value (.12) and multiply it to the volume of wine given (750mL). The answer you get will be the amount of alcohol in the given volume of wine. We will write this answer in mL because we have that as our units and the percentage does not have any units. The answer you should get is 90mL C2H5OH (ethyl alcohol).

1 unit = 10cl of pure alcohol So in 75cl bottle of wine @ abv 9.5% alcohol there are 75*7.5/100=7.125 units. Times that by 5=35.625 units or about 7 units over the recommended limit for males (sometimes quoted as 21 units)

90ml, but you can't really figure it like that. That would be 12% of the contents. I think
