Today, hundreds of thousands of Iraqis are celebrating the conviction of Saddam Hussein, they are ecstatic to see him go.

That is validation for the US and Iraqi forces.

So the Iraqis are killing eachother, and we are trying to stop them from doing so, why aren't people behind the war?

YOU are either too stupid or too naive. Who's sons and daughters and relatives are being butchered right now?
Anybody from the White House, millionares row, upper middle class, etc.,?
The whole world knows that the war started because of false informations regarding weapons of mass destruction. The U.S has no business being there.More Iraqi citizens have died since Iraq was " liberated " and many thousands more will still die than ever died under Saddam Hussein.

dude have you seen the news?! the iraqis are PO'ed that Saddam's gonna die and claimed to avenge Saddam with blood. And the reason that not many are war is because the US are fighting a pointless war, many dying fighting a war that cannot be won. Not accomplishing their given objective. I definately do not support the war in Iraq, possibly the worst decision made by the US. The war is more about oil rather than liberating. America should atleast finish one war before going into another.

I go back and forth from supporting the war. Our original goal in invading Iraq was to disarm and remove from power Saddam Hussein, and establish a functional democracy in the middle east. I am glad that bastard is getting what's coming to him. But currently the Sunnis and Shiites aren't just murdering eachother (and at genocidal numbers), but also American soldiers. Also, the tension going on in Iraq is giving validation to angry young Muslims to hate the U.S. The Islamic leaders are trying to make it seem like we are staging a crusade and trying to enslave Muslims. It's a lose-lose situation right now. So whether you support staying or want to cut and run, you're wrong.

I do not support the war because, well, here's an example: Have you ever noticed that "Suicide Car Bomb Attack Killing 11 and Wounding 19 Others" is all over the news every day, but you never see a headline reading "SuicideCar Bomb Attempt Prevented By American Troops"?

President Bush continues to send men and women over seas to watch them be blown to bits while he gives ridiculous speechs lying and claiming we're winning when the death rate of American soldiers rockets upward every year it seems. I don't understand why people would support someone like him... and something as disgusting as the War.

I'm right behind you bud. After 9/11 I said to myself let's get them damn Iraqis and liberate them and then convict that SOB Saddam. Afghanistan and Osama were never in the picture.

What started out as a positive event has been turned into a disaster because of poor planning. We need to put enough boots on the ground to take away the weapons. Fooling around with the PM of Iraq is a waste of time.

It's not that black and white. What I do not support, is how we got there. Through false and misleading information. I'm sorry so many people are dying. We are there and have to finish what was started. I truly don't understand why the politicians who sent us there don't have their children and grandchildren fighting over there. By the way, if you support it, why aren't you there? How old are you anyway?

Yes I do support it. But it is still always sad to bear the horrible news we hear from Iraq. We only hear the bad stories.
It would be nice if the press would also show the school being buil t, the roads the are new and the individuals that now live in a better country than they did five years ago.

No. I don't like any war. There should be a nonvilolent way to solve problems with people killing each other because we end up killing more people.

I support our troops. I do NOT support the war in Iraq. We invaded them. Nowhere in the US Constitution is the government given the right to invade another country for any reason. The military was established to protect our borders, not to breach another's.
