The reason for the color difference is you have a United States Note and not a Federal Reserve note. The early series $2 notes from series 1928 through 1963A are U.S. notes. The series 1976 through 2003A are Federal Reserve Notes. The 1953B sells for $7 in grade fine, $10 in grade extra fine and $25 in grade crisp uncirculated.
