Mostly people talking at their language at their work time infront at their co-worker from different country. Why should they never speak in English during at work time.

It's only rude if you think it is. Personally, if it's easier for them to talk that way, who cares? As long as they don't totally shun the third person who doesn't speak their language, it shouldn't matter. Besides, you can't expect EVERYONE to speak perfect English or that they should be obligated to speak English here. You're not obligated to speak Mandarin if you go to China... all you probably know is how to say "thank you" or "how are you?" Now, I'm willing to bet that they know more than THAT in the equivalent of English. Just let them talk the way they want to. It's not like they're hurting anyone.

I think it is rude to speak another language in front of other people from a different country. I think it is only fair to learn that country's language and try to speak it. Of course it is OK to lapse into ones native tongue but not so blatantly. The Chinese are famous for this.

i may say its unethical not rude. people should learn the proper etiquette specially if you are in group of different nationality.,as much as possible dont talk to your language, unless it is too personal, theres a proper place to lay personal matter in speaking term of language is concern. or ask an apology or translate it to the groups the meaning of your language spoken in front of them to avoid offending the other nationality or groups. i for myself, im always in the group of different nationality and the major language we used was english. if theres someone talk their own language, we stare at them, and they catch what we meant, they immediately translate it into english language. languages are the barriers of communication gap, the best remedy for this is say or ask in a nice manner the meaning of the words being said.

i might say this is larger to communicate in English in this subject. this is a confusing subject although. when I went to make certain a chum in France, I made an attempt to communicate some French to her relatives. perhaps in case you coach your pal some words in Russian to declare on your Mum. Like "thank you for having me over" or "this could nicely be a fine looking meal". i individually do unlike no longer being waiting to understand what different all of us is asserting, and hate having to ask for each thing to be translated.

I think it is but only when they both can speak english perfectly fine!! If one of them can only speack lets say ummm spanish then yea thats fair enough.
