I hear so much priase for this author, I might think of reading him, but I'm not interested anything about demons and the supernatural.

Thry are not good; they are POPULAR and filmable. Years from now they will not be read and certainly will never be on college or even high school reading lists. Do not confuse popular lit with genuine literature...

Then you probably will not like Stephen King. I would suggest that you read "The Girl Who Love Tom Gordon". It's one of his shorter books and moves right along. There is an underlying monster in the story, but the main theme is about young girl lost in the woods. It is not one of his best books, but very entertaining. If you like that book, I would try reading Nightmares and Dreamscapes. It is a book with short stories in it and runs the gambit of his writing style.

Then don't read him, the only demons are the ones of self or humanity, supernatural is the world. but the good always wins out.

Not all of his books are about demons and the supernatual. Most of the time, the so-called "demons" are the "humans" in the story. If you read all of his books, in order of publication, then there is a underlying story. 80 percent of his books are linked to one another, whether its through charecters or storylines.
