Well, no. You can get the software *can't think of what its called off the top of my head* to run Windows on a Mac. I would assume going that route you could use IE. The closest you can get is Firefox.

Internet Explorer for Mac is no longer supported by Microsoft so you cannot download the latest version. You might find an old IE version that you can download however there will be no updates for it. Your better off using Safari, firefox, or other browsers that are compatible with Mac. If you have the newer Mac that has the Intel processor, you can run a windows operating system on that too by downloading either Bootcamp or Parallels. Then you can run the latest IE browser.

I think the real answer is Safari, Firefox, and Netscape are not compatible with many secure internal websites that you may use. I just bought a mac for my home and have found that several websites do not work in those browsers and only support IE.
This is because it is costly to program the internal websites for both IE and Safari. I wish Safari would fix this because Microsoft will not.

I had IE on my Mac, but did not like it. I am not sure if it is available. I use Safari predominantly, FoxFire a lot of the time and just this past week I down loaded Camino.

I don't see a need for IE. In fact many of the game sites say you must use IE, but they run with Safari and/or FoxFire.

Personally the farther away I am from the Microsoft world, the happier I am.

There is a mac version, but Microsoft quit supporting it a few months ago. People still find a web site on their Macs now and then that works better with IE, but Safari and Firefox are getting better.

There are ways to turn your mac into a Microsoft based system but that's pretty weird. On the newer Mac's with the Tiger and now Leopard OS's you basically don't need it. But as stated firefox is a pretty decent alternative.

IE for Macs is buggy and unsafe because MS quit supporting it long time ago. It would be better if you used one of the following browsers, Firefox, Safari, Camino, Opera, Shiira, SeaMonkey, among others, as they are still being supported.
