I beg to differ, true, it is a lifeskill, but at the same time, I don';t think it is the most special thing. I think that when you've found someone and settle down with them (it doesn't matter if they are your first love or not) if you like them and settle down with that person enough, then THAT is the most special thing about that person!

The first time you eat an ice cream, you will probably think "WOW". When you have had a few more ice creams you will probably still think it is good, but you will never forget your first one. Even though they tasted the same.
It is all a matter of "first-time-experience".

Agreed. Recently reconnected with mine and was surprised to realize that my feelings are still there and just as strong, and I wish I had not broken up with him...but that was a long time ago (we were both 19) and now we are both married with children.

It honestly is amazing. You can't describe it, I have been with my sweetie for a year and a half, we were friends for about 2 years prior, and everything has been amazing. Your relationship is even more special when you have God working in it. So love is amazing, there is just something you can't describe about it...

I will never forget my first love, I would have laid down my life for him nothing or no-one mattered we lasted four years and then he broke my heart, I'll never forget that either.
