i consider myself a very nice person and find myself becoming rude to the ignorer when he/she does ignore me. i treat people the way i would like to be treated and would expect the same......what the hell is wrong with me.....or them? I say this in general as there are some polite well mannered nice people out there.

I’m sorry; I didn’t notice you were talking. Now what were you saying again?

I have had the same problem for what I now see as most of my life. For almost 10 years I didn't pay much attention to it, and just did as I pleased. Now that I am a bit older I find that I have a very limited friend group and have no contact with anyone from my past.

Eventually I realised that I need to sit down and take a step back from my life. Analyse just what it is that put me in this position. Now I see that most of the time I just sit and observe. Very rarely do I say anything. So nowadays I make an effort to participate in conversations. It is by no means easy for me to do so. And I feel that because I isolated myself so much growing up that I lack social skills.

One other thing that helped me was trying to figure out when this started. Was there a specific time or event that you can remember this starting after?

Hope this makes sense and is of some help.

There are plently of nice people out there and many rude people. You'll eventually find the right people to be friends with. Maybe when you talk to these people they sense something that they might find negative in you. Maybe it's desperation or maybe you are misinterpreting their communication. Always remember to keep a good attitude. No matter how ugly they treat you, you treat them completely the opposite. Find some other friends, and they'll probably feel bad for treatiing you the way they did. Nice people make it through any difficult situation. Mean people eventually crumble up and die.

Do you have acne problems, weird hair, funky clothes, a scary looking face? Maybe you just seem to give off the attitude that you are better than everyone else. Don't become rude to the 'ignorer' because that's how everyone else will remember you being. Make a point of being more polite and trying to talk to more people. They aren't going to come up to you and poof a friendship is born. You need to interact and talk to them if you want to know people.

do you talk too much, have an opinion on everything no matter what the subject, then yes people will ignore you,I worked with some-one like that, we used to ignore her all the time, and yet she is a really nice kind person. So if you think you are guilty of any of the above ,well there's your answer.

Sometimes the queit or shy person just gets bypassed.

Think of it, do you remember the average people who really dont stand out? or do you recall and keep a strong recollection of the people who for better or worse have a strong impact on you. Like the person whose funny, or the beautiful woman, etc...

If you want to get noticed you have to put yourself out there. Be more talkative, or if one group of people just don't mind find a new group.

Don't take this the wrong way dude. But F&CK THEM. If they don't like you F&CK THEM. That's how I live day to day. I used to feel bad when people ignored me for this reason or that. Especially females because I'm a young male myself. But live by these words and you'll never feel bad again. F&CK THEM.
