For the purposes of classroom work, most gases are assumed to have the same propeties, thus making problem solving a bit easier. Thus indety of a gas are not actually important, only the conditions under which it exists.

most of gas problems require as an answer a volume or pressure, which do not depend on the molecular structure/mass of the gas, so no need to identify it

your question makes more less sence. The prepositions are not there and I can't answer it. Its sucks b/c i know alot about different gases and the science of gas.
