I keep getting a million answers...can someone give me the final answer on this??

y= (4-x)^2 (x-1)^3

and after the really long answer you get, how do you graph this?

Expanding the polynomial:

x^5 -6x^4 +10x^3 -41x^2 +36x -16

Because the leading coefficient is positive the graph opens upward. The y-intercept is -16. The graph will cross the x axis five times. Hope that helps.

To get the answer, you have to multiply the two parts of the equation separately and then multiply them together. The actual multiplication is straight forward, but since it gets a little messy be sure you do it neatly and leave plenty of room.
Neatness is important so you don't leave out any terms.
To graph this, I would graph the equation as it is before multiplying. This way you can easily see where the function crosses the x axis and the y axis. Then plot some points to see what the function does with large values of x, negative values of x, and large negative x values. The values of y between x=4 and x=1 are not so easy to predict, so you may have to plot lots of points in this region
before you figure out what is going on there.
