I think he's really bad (and not just because of the current tabloids and personal stuff...just think he can't act).

I agree with you, I cannot think of a SINGLE movie that I enjoyed his acting in.....He should just stick to robbing the cradle and making babies.

He may not be Oscar Worthy but is very entertaining and never have I lost interest or have I been bored while watching any of his movies.He is a good enough of an actor to portray the characters he plays to make them real to those watching.For his entire career up until the present he was a major box office draw and that means he was very successful. And still is since he's now with another person in charage of a Major Venue.His recent behaviour,his enthusiasm on the Oprah Show and comments about Brooke Shields Use of tranguilizers for post partunm depression -for which he personally has apologized to her-a act which did require courage and humility on his part.He also has a star on the Hollywook Walk of Fame .Tom Cruise is a STAR and I will look foward to his next movie. His life before he became famous in Hoolywood was no picnic-a alcoholic father and unstable childhood with the family always moving and him always being the new kid in school. Considering the chaotic life as a child and teen he's turned out pretty well for know people who experienced less negativity who ended up a total mess.Some of his behaviours recent could be classified as over the top but he seems to be settling down into more normalcy. I'll continue looking forward to his films

Rather he's good or bad depends on how good the last movie starred in did. He was great in a Few Good Men, but Mission Impossible 3 sucked big time and so did Vanilla Sky. The other thing that measures how good an actor he is .... Is the number of Oscars he has won or been nominated for.

No, a mediocre actor. He must have a lot of blocks in life that prevent him from doing better. He gives a fair performance when he works with an acting coach.

I like him. I think he's a really good actor. He's come in a couple movies I hate, for e.g. The Last Samuri but overall I think he's really great.

I some what agree with you, I think in his early days such as, Risky business and Top Gun..He did a good job but after that and now with all this "tomcat" stuff ...you couldnt pay me to see his new movies...so my answer is..no.

he was great in 'a few best men'
'jerry maquire'
sucked in 'top gun'
supporting cast helped him always
'cocktail'...good special effects, but i bet he had a stunt double doing those flips of the bottles...
i hate him in person,
but he has some kinda good agent gets him good spots

Yeah i ttly agree... he cant act to save his life. Yeah and of corse he think he is good, but lots of people think he is ga cuz of it. He is waaaayyy to full of hiself.
