Why is it when it comes to sexuality, or nudity, society applies different standards to males and females?

The American double standard. Go to Europe it's attitude is more relaxed.

Society is afraid of sexuality because it doesn’t fit neatly into their high ideals of themselves and it can’t be controlled. They don't want to recognize that when it comes to biological cravings that we are still animals. Whatever controls that are put on it only create more problems. As far as the United States is concerned, the majority of lawmakers are straight men. One example of this is that female strip clubs that cater to men are tolerated in certain non-residential areas but female clubs that cater to other females and male strip clubs for either sex are rare.

Because Bush put a bunch a sexisist Republicans in command that are scared of gays and liberal thoughts.
