I have fine, oily hair and dry skin (weird combination). I've read lots of great advice on how to make my hair look fuller and make it less oily and make my skin less dry, but... I was wondering: does it actually help to use all these products? Like moisturizer, toner, cleanser, mousse, shampoo, conditioner, hair spray, volumizing spray, and lots of other stuff, etc... I feel like I'd do more harm than good if I used everything people gave as advice. Doesn't my skin and hair need a little rest, fresh air...? Or am I free to use everything because they will only make things better?
What do you think?

Hey. I'm not looking for advice on my hair and skin type... the question was: does it do more harm than good to use lots of artificial cosmetic products? Should I just go natural and don't care or should I use everything they told me as an advice, because they will do no damage at all?

It just wastes your money using lots of products. Just pick a few.

Regarding the dry skin, use moisturizer. Any cream with urea is a good bet. Use an anti-aging product as you get older. Use sun screen always.

Going 'natural' is rubbish. You'll just feel dry and wrinkle quicker. Trust me. One of my friends, a self-professed hippy, always banging on about being natural, looks like a woman 10 years older than her.

Try volumizing shampoo and conditioner and one other product in a line. That should be enough.

Because your hair is oily, make sure you don't overdo it with the hair products. Also, use a clarifying shampoo to get rid of the build-up.

Mousse it does work for me at all ! It sort of breaks my hair !
I have very fine hair therefore all those products are too strong for me ! I use very mild shampoo only !.

I do think that they work.
