I am just starting up in paintball, and have recently purchased a Spyder Sonix Pro marker.
What would be some good investments for making it shoot faster/ be all around more accurate etc...

You could go with some simple upgrades...add a 14" barrel...I put a .690" barrel on my wife's marker and got great accuracy. I would upgrade the hopper with a Viewloader Revolution (revy)...a nice drop forward so that you could fit a larger tank...but honestly read on below...

I think rather than just putting money in your marker...you should work on some shooting drills...below you will find a link to some of the best videos for training new players...I have shot out so many people who have better markers and equipment basically because they couldn't properly fire their marker when necessary...the flip side of that...I have been out gunned by guys with Brass Eagles because they knew there marker in and out and had the game tactics necessary to bring it to task...

To summarize, there are a ton of upgrades out there but I would work with upgrading the most important element first...the human element

If you bought a spyder sonix then I am guessin gthat this is your first gun. You don't need to upgrade too much. I would buy a 14 inch barrel. that will make it very accurate. I would also get a drop forward (about 30 dollars.) It will make the gun smaller and easier too run with.

If you want it to shoot faster then you will need a fairly fast hopper(if you are just starting then you can't pull the trigger fast enogh to need an ultra expensive hopper.) If you want to be able to get the paintballs off faster then you will need an electric trigger which means that you have to buy a new grip and it will probably end up costing you about $130. It is a better deal to buy a gun that comes with an electric trigger. I would suggest a spyder pilot acs. That is the gun that I started with a couple of years ago.

A better barrel is good for a beginning purchase - a good barrel can give a straighter shot.

Second thing, especially for shooting faster, would be a good hopper, perhaps with an agitator.

If you started with the basic model add a larger gas tank, bigger hopper & 14inch barrel.

If you already have those then you need a better gun
